Even if you only have 1 hour of time, you can join this challenge and make a real difference. It's easy!

1. Set Up Your Team Page

We will connect you with your very own campaign manager at LLS. They will do all the work, including setting up your fundraising landing page. All YOU have to do is tell them what you want it to say.

2. Begin Fundraising

Drive traffic to your landing page and ask others to get involved. Once you join the campaign, we'll send you ideas and tips on how to begin raising money. You can promote your page any way you'd like, from simply posting on Facebook to organizing your own event!

3. Help Find A Cure For Cancer

That is what this is all about. The work LLS is doing will help find a cure for cancer. Every single agency in this contest will have a big impact on helping them find a cure faster.

In 2016, Emmaline’s parents noticed a swollen lymph node on her neck and after a few months of ruling things out, a biopsy showed that at age 4, she had Burkitt’s Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Emmaline is the youngest of 4 girls and also the sassiest. She used that sass and spunk to beat it.

She started 4.5 rounds of chemo right away. She quit preschool, gymnastics, and play dates. She spent much of the 5 months in and out of the hospital. She lost all her hair and much of her body mass. But she never lost her sweet personality and fierce fight. Thanks to people who donated to cancer research 20 years ago, Emmaline’s chemo worked and she is now in remission, although the effects of all the chemo gives her 8 times more chance to get diseases and cancer in her future, high chance of learning disability, problems with memory and attention, and slowed development. She has a higher chance of seizures, vision problems, hearing problems, thyroid issues, bone problems, and heart issues. The list goes on and the point is that the war against her cancer goes on, even though she won her battle in 2016.

However, today we celebrate her life. June 2019 will mark 3 years as a survivor. She is back in gymnastics and is doing well in school. She gets to go back to her sassy and spunky self and worry about normal things like math homework and which friend she wants to have over. She loves all things Harry Potter, legos, drawing, and animals.

As the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to fighting blood cancers, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s work has helped millions impacted by cancer. Though LLS is known for funding groundbreaking research to find better treatments and cures, they do so much more. LLS provides free information, education and support services for those who are newly diagnosed and those living with their disease. They fight for lifesaving policy changes at the state and federal level to ensure access to quality, affordable, coordinated care.

Here is a list of all the amazing agencies that have decided to join this challenge and make a difference. On May 18th we will be naming our Agency of the Year. They will get a sponsored table and 10 tickets to the LLS Man and Woman of the Year gala on June 1st in Charlotte, NC.
